In loving Memory...

Earlier on today, I received an SMS from a friend's brother. This brother is someone whom I knew when I was in Bible School. This brother, has been a blessing to me...

During the days in Bible School, although we seldom chat much but we did hang up with each other, with the rest of the schoolmates. It was kind of fun and helps me to think more into life.

After graduation from Bible School, he's been writing emails to everyone in Bible School, on the messages God revealed to him and I must say, that itself, is a blessing to me. The messages are encouraging and really opens up my mind. It also helps me to grow in life too.

A two months ago, when I saw him, he was rather pale and have lost weight. When I probe further, I realized that he was suffering from some brain tumor thing but is recovering from it.

Today, I received a SMS from his phone, with a message saying that he has passed away... The person who sent the message to me was his younger brother... Upon reading the news, I was rather sad and a little unbelief.. that he just passed away...

I feel kind of lost right now...

T.R.U.S.T in God

T - Take one day at a time. Matthew 6: 34
R - Remember, all things work together for good. Romans 8: 28
U - Under no circumstances should you worry. Philippians 4: 6
S - Start every day with prayer and thanksgiving. 1 Thessalonians 5: 16- 18
T - The Lord will never leave you nor forsake you; Deuteronomy 31: 8

Don't ever forget the above!

For thus says the Lord God, the Holy One of Israel:
"In returning and rest you shall be saved; In quietness and confidence shall be your strength."
- Isaiah 30:15
Let's learn to trust and rest in Him.

Be blessed!

Found some truth in the following...

Received an email from a friend and as I go on reading the email, I find something interesting and it actually describes me! Haha... However, it does not matter if I am an employee or employer. It also does not matter even where I am... It simply describes me fully!

One thing is that I do not believe in this horoscope thingy but... Anyway... just some interesting facts about me...

Sagittarius Employee Profile (November 22 - December 21)

The Sagittarian employee is head strong, cheerful, and willing to help. They exude self-confidence and take on tasks like there's no tomorrow. They are willing to tackle even the toughest of projects as long as it is challenging and gets them out of the routine. Lucky for them, their shining personalities and honest enthusiasm seem like a bright spot in the office-otherwise co-workers might begin to build animosity towards someone soarrogant and extravagant.

Their tendency to exaggerate and take on more then they can handle usually results in missed deadlines and dropping the ball-not because they are lazy of procrastinate, but because their enthusiasm just gets the better of them sometimes. Don't let their nonchalance fool you-they really do care about what they are doi ng. They just have an easy-going attitude that allows them to keep on smiling even when they just messed up big time. Just because they are flexible and easy-going doesn't mean they won't tell you exactly how they feel-what is working for them and what isn't. And they won't just blindly take orders -they need to understand the method and reason behind the process. If you are trying to motivate your Sagittarian employee, be sure to feed them plenty of challenging new projects and hint that some business trips might be on the horizon once deadlines are met. And whatever you do, try not to question their intentions - it is the quickest way to make them upset. They aren't capable of deceit.

Psalms 23 & Testimony

Psalms 23
1 The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not be in want. 2 He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, 3 he restores my soul. He guides me in paths of righteousness for his name's sake. 4 Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. 5 You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. 6 Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.

The above mentioned Psalms is one of my favourite scripture in the Bible. What attracted me to this verse is the very first verse. As I meditated on the above mentioned Psalms; especially on the first verse, I had a rough idea of what it meant but I was not too sure. However, after a period of time, I finally took out the Strongest Strong Concordance to find out what does the word “want” really means.

I do have a rough idea of what “want” means in that context but I just want to make sure that I am 100% correct. Finally, I took out my Concordance to check out, what it really meant.

After checking up the Concordance, I have actually realized that the word, “want” (in Hebrew); actually have a number of meanings to it… They are as follow: “to lack”; to have nothing, to go down, recede; to make lower; to deprive; to cause lack, withhold:- want; lack; fail; abated; bereave; have need; made lower, had lack; decrease; cause to fail…

After getting the meaning to this word makes the entire Scripture more meaningful to me; especially for the verse after it… “2 He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters,”

Why green pastures? Ever seen a patch of land which is green? I mean during the period when I was with my previous Company, very often, I have this word, Green, coming into my mind. As I prayed and asked for the actual meaning, the following definitions came into my mind. Green – represents freshness; refreshing; calmness; go ahead; health; to move on; brighter; fruitfulness; full of life!

This is really exciting because it makes the entire meaning to this Psalms more interesting!

I really thank God for this revelation. Without this, I would not have known more. I should really read more and look up into the Concordance more often. I plea guilty for not using the materials I possess and if I had used it earlier, I’d have better understanding to what I had learnt in 2003 – 2004.

Anyway, what’s past is already past. I need to look forward because Ecclesiastes 7: 10 says this “Do not say, "Why were the old days better than these?" For it is not wise to ask such questions.”

I am really astonished at what God have put into place in the Bible. This book is filled with so many ideas, wisdom and strategy in life. What makes the Bible different from any other books is this. The Bible is still applicable to anyone and everyone in this world. Even the Best Selling Books on Leadership/ Business etc, will find their roots in the Bible IF only one reads it with the help of His Holy Spirit.

God is indeed true and real. I am not saying it because God have been real great to me. I am saying that He is true and real because He is always faithful; yes, even when I am unfaithful. He still shows that He cares for me.

He cares so much for me that He knows my future, my desires, the problems I am facing, the problems I will face and more. He knows how many strands of hair I have on my head and He is the One who numbers my days. In fact, He is not only good to me but He is also good to every human on earth; both believers and non-believers!

It just really intrigues me when some scientists say that we are a product of evolution. We evolved from some organic structure and after millions and trillions of years, we are who we are. The most amazing of all is that, they claimed that there are no more of evolution at all, since we have already evolved into humans. Anyway, shall not go into that at the moment.

Last week, I was presented a very pleasant surprise. I was called into the office of my Senior District Manager and he presented me with a sum of money, written on a cheque. I mean, I am still not contracted with the Company and I have not been earning a single cent since my dismissal from my previous Company, In fact, I am running on the negative but God provided for me through him.

That’s not all. On top of the cash given to me, I was given another sum of money by my parents. My parents knew about the cheque that was given to me. They were, of course happy for me but they still gave me more money.

The cash really came in time for me. This is because I almost forgot that I need to pay my education loans of about S$210 in total and I still need to pay off my insurance next month. Surely, He provided me with more than what I expected!

I really pray that the days of lack are coming to an end. I do not want to borrow money or even make loans. If everything goes on well on the 26 July 2007, I will be contracted to the Company and I really look forward for the blessings of God to come into my life. I know I will pass my final test this coming Thursday, not because of my intelligence, cleverness or whatever. I will pass, simply because I have done my part in studying and I now rely upon Him!

Anxiety? Troubled? Anyway... New member in family!

Two days ago, I had a strange dream. Till now, I am wondering if it matters or not as it feels very real!

In my dream, I remembered that I was praying and somehow, there was a challenge against me. Someone came and tried to put thoughts of doubts into me. This person tried to persuade me that God is not that powerful after all. Somehow, in my dreams, I rebuked that person and quoted “Greater is He who is in me than he who is in this world…”

I remembered some parts where I was starting a conversation with another person and I start preaching to that person. I was not sure where I am in the dream but I remembered that there was Pastor Kong and Pastor Aries. They were there to encourage me to do something…

In another part of the dream, I heard a distinct voice saying that I ought to go for missions. That is the very heart beat of mine. I would love to go for missions. I would want to extend the Kingdom of God. In that very same dream, I heard some Countries mentioned but I could not really recall.

I do not know what is going on and why am I dreaming about it. I prayed that if this is God’s will, He would speak to me again on this matter. I do not doubt Him but I just want to have a confirmation on this. Many of the people in the bible did that before too. I guess it is not wrong for me to do that too…

Today, I had another dream. As much as I could recall, it was something to do with the moving away from home. Sigh… I could not recall much of the details of the dream but it felt so real… What’s more interesting is that, the dream “continued” on even when I woke up in between my sleep… Hmmm… I wonder what’s going on… Am I thinking too much? Maybe…

Oh yes! Today, my family celebrated for my little nephew! His first month in this world sure is an exciting. Looking at the prospect of so many aunts, uncles, grand aunts, grand uncles and most importantly… The possibility of facing his GREAT GRANDFATHER!

He had a haircut! Anyway, I will post his photo up once I lay hold of his new haircut. Meanwhile, this is his photos taken a couple of days back…

He was looking at my mum... (His granny)

Look! He's yawing!!! Hahaha...

At present...

It has been sometime since I have last written down my thoughts. I still remember that it should have been approximately a month since. I am sorry that I have taken such a long time since my last entry.

For the past couple of weeks, after my dismissal from work, I actually felt rather lousy and felt condemned. I do not know how you view on this but I thought the Company was rather pleased with the performance of my job but in the end, I realized that it was a plot from the person who directly wanted me out of the Company.

This very person whom I thought I could trust, actually used things which I have told her few months back to backstab me. What made matters worse was that this particular person accused me of causing problems in the Company. Come on, what can I really do? I am of such a low position and I did not even ask my fellow colleagues to quit after what was done to me. Instead of rallying them to be on my side, I even encouraged them to do their best even when I am gone.

Anyway, I am not trying to defend myself. What can I defend myself against? So, why am I writing these? I guess, to get it off my chest... Nothing more to that…

I was so tempted to write an email to that person to scold her, to reason things out with her etc but I find that there is no more point in doing that. By doing all those, I would have given that person the “right” to rectify that the accusations were true…

Nonetheless, I am at fault too. No one is perfect. I am not perfect too.

Well! It has been about a month now I think I should let it all go. At least, I do not feel that depressed and down as compared to the initial stage.

After taking the step of faith to go to where I am heading to, I realized that I have not been having good rest. By this, I mean that I have not been sleeping early but have been up till wee hours before I get to rest. At times, I would find my pillow soaked with tears and cry myself tired before I sleep… Maybe I am being anxious, eager… fearful… I do not know…

However, at this point of time, I do feel fearful of the future and what is to come. Even though I am in a training to get licensed, I feel doubtful about what is to come. Somehow, I lost confidence in myself and perhaps, it was a blow to me. However, do not worry. I will find the strength in Him to help me through. Of course, I need you too. I need your support and your encouragement to get through this part of life… Will you stand by me?

Le Cookie

Hi there! I know I have not been writing much these couple of months. Please forgive me. I have been busy all these while and alas, I've been fired from my job.

Nonetheless, it does not matter what happened. What happened is already in the past. I just need to press on and look ahead and not let those people who tried to pull me down make me feel like a loser. Anyway, that's another matter.

Whatever it is, all I can say is that they have not fired me as they never have that authority. The greatest authority is given by God. God allowed it to happen so that I can learn something valuable from this too. Like what it's been written:"All things works together for the GOOD for those who LOVES Him" and that I am blessed by these couple of weeks' sermon by Pastor Kong - Sermon On The Mount.

Will update on those (Sermon On The Mount) in time to come (Provided that I have the time)

Oh yes! I need your kind support. My friend and I will have a booth at the Singapore Expo this coming 25 May - 29 May 2007 - Selling cookies.
